Project Proposal
A city-wide, live-action Alternate Reality Game blending real-world art installations, digital cryptography, and live interactive theater.
Players stumble into a temporal cold war between a rogue curator lost in time and a shadow-science institute trying to harness the power of the "Doors."
Scientific, sterile, green. They view the doors as raw power and data. Led by Dr. Phillip Marsh.
Challenge: Quantum Matrices & Logic Ciphers
Passionate, artistic, red. A rogue collective protecting Bob, the original curator lost in the timeline.
Challenge: Esoteric Sigils & objects
The Radar (Proximity)
PWA web-app displays military-style map with anomalous red zones driving foot traffic to Seattle venues.
The Scan (Verification)
Instant verification via QR. No app store friction. Verification unlocks physical cipher inputs.
The Payoff (Progression)
Decrypted lore—audio logs, CRI intel, Bob's journals—permanently saved to Digital Logbooks.
Unaffiliated Sleuths explore initial doors. Community building across Discord and social media established as Bob's first breadcrumbs appear at venues like Central Saloon.
CRI unauthorized time-travel experiment fails. A "Temporal Hemorrhage" displaces 50-100 new doors across city districts.
Gallery takeover. Begins as Bob's eccentric studio; transforms mid-experience into a sterile 24/7 CRI quarantined research lab with live scientists.
Live actors (TAG Operatives) stream on Twitch. Global player base solves real-time ciphers to aid physical infiltration. Culminates in a closed-loop narrative finale.
Bob's Doors is a massive socio-economic engine designed to fund The Catalyst, a 501(c)(3) providing stipends and resources to dismantle the "starving artist" myth in Seattle.
Venues host anomalous doors, turning game progression into guaranteed customer visits.
Direct commissions for 100+ local artists and sculptors makes this a prime candidate for municipal arts grants.
Bridging physical tourism with digital transmedia via Twitch/YouTube for international sponsor visibility during FIFA.
